I have a 1600 crossflow in here which had an automatic choke which I have converted to manual. As can be seen here there are some pokey out bits just under the filter box.

Also there are a couple of bits of the carb casting which are close to the opening level at the front. but below the level of the trim.

Any ideas? Whats the sphere applied to these bits?

Also does that plastic trim look OK? I have also used this to trim the back edge of the scuttle

The bits under the filter look like they wouldn't be contactable. The dome nuts may need covers on them. I removed them from my filter and used button head socket screws with nuts underneath the filter instead. I'd put a larger 'u' shaped rubber around the edge of the top plate of the filter such that it reaches the top surface.

dome nuts!? I have sing nuts on my filter. some rubber hose, sikaflex and two coke bottle tops, I kid you not, on top sorted that one.
