I need help with the area behind the front wheels

As said above. I have been toying for months when I have had time with bodywork shapes. I have one now that works pretty much. I like the back as its a bit more slippery and covers the rear arm suspension pickups nicely. It allows a front that will not be to bad to make and the side is ok. I am trying to figure out with venting the air trapped inside the clamshell and between the nose and wheel out the side behind the front wheel- and to make it look proper. I want to keep the area filled in under the top of the clamshell(for lack of a better word) to allow me to hide most of the exhaust system except for chrome tips as well as a place to maybe hide the intercooler. I have thought the top of the front wing can be made out of fiberglass and the bottom pod or such could be alloy over tube and inset and inch or so narrower than the top of the wing to give more of an original clamshell look.
Would it look better to vent the air from the suspension area out directly behind the front wheel or, or enclose behind the wheel and vent out through a duct in the side a bit farther back?
Comments appreciated .
Thanks

i prefer something like morgan

over the flared arches of lotus 7

but, if going like the morgan, please don't make the wings go further forward than the grill. please, just no

I really like the morgans and tried going that route but everything I worked out I ended up with a bulbus front end or too high on the sides- or as you said the front wings ended up infront of the nose which just did not look quite right .

I'd opt for keeping the area behind the wheel open, and putting some discrete (or not so if you wish) vents, roughly where you have the fold down the middle of the side pod. Maybe some chrome jobbies?
