Changed to the Liz Vicious Fan Club – so off topic now it's embarrassing
macnab - 10/1/07 at 12:07 PM

cool title eh?!, bet this topic gets the most looks, he he

out off curiosity, nothing more.

Does anyone make a lightweight bodyshell off any kind that's intended to fit over a 7 style chassis?

macnab - 10/1/07 at 12:25 PM

off course the real question is 'how long is it till scott gets banned for misuse of the site?'

DIY Si - 10/1/07 at 12:31 PM

Or gets the sack for doing naff all, all day long! I obviously am hard at work, but currently on lunch for a bacon sarnie.

macnab - 10/1/07 at 12:33 PM

I have two screens you see...one for work and one for play

DIY Si - 10/1/07 at 12:34 PM

The work one being dark and maybe just a little dusty?

macnab - 10/1/07 at 12:36 PM

Actually our system is so chronically slow that I spend most of the day waiting on the system updating. Never been in a place like it. They won't spend a penny on upgrading. It takes 20mins just to log in.

Just hopeless.

I’m just a bit fed up with the whole nonsense to be honest and will probably be moving on too somewhere better soon.

Schrodinger - 10/1/07 at 12:39 PM

What sort of body are you looking for?
I understand that Tiger have sold the moulds for the Storm and the new owners are looking to market it as a fit onto a Locost chassis.

macnab - 10/1/07 at 12:47 PM

Hmm just had a look. Not too pretty really, ahhh going to get lynched by the tiger storm fan club.

Nah, something along those lines but a hardtop. I was looking into making something in the future (been doodling) and was just wondering if there was something out there already.

Is that a mass sighing I here??

iank - 10/1/07 at 12:50 PM

AGM's WLR was originally built around a MK chassis with outriggers IIRC (though they now use their own chassis).

http://www.agmsportscars.co.uk/

iank - 10/1/07 at 12:53 PM

p.s. I think the tiger storm club would be 7 people max

Hopefully with a bit of care the Storm can be tidied up into something easier on the eye - I'm sure they will be along soon

macnab - 10/1/07 at 12:58 PM

ahem did you see the price!

It also looks rather Batmobile for my taste I was thinking along a style like this..,.

Marcus - 10/1/07 at 02:25 PM

Take a look at the Fury / Phoenix type. I'm sure you can get a removeable hardtop for one, and the Locost chassis may be adaptable.

ned - 10/1/07 at 02:25 PM

the gts 11 body fits a locost with a tiny bit of mod'ing

macnab - 10/1/07 at 02:44 PM

I have to admit I do like the Phoenix (maybe not in green) and the price seems reasonable

cheers

Which consists of ONE on the road plus the demonstrator to my knowledge so you are not upsetting too many people ;-}

I understand that the new owners are looking to change the lights to something not frogeye sprite as they are atm and are looking to get the first body to Deitling in the spring for views, (see WCC).

just sent this...

Hello,

I am in the process if building an MK Indy seven series. Do you know if the Phoenix body shell will fit on to this chassis to tidy up the looks? I could easily get dimensions if required.

I was thinking of leaving off all the original glassfiber panels supplied with the car and just using your body shell instead. Going by the pictures on the site the chassis certainly looks very similar.

I hope you can help.

Kind regards, Scott.

I would have thought that the Indy was too big to fit inside the Phoenix bodywork. Whats the wheelbase/track of the Indy?

She could have the top off my muffin any day I seriously worry about some of the people on here, or are they all really Tom Cruise lookalikes. She's got just what you need in cold weather. (a vest)

macnab - 10/1/07 at 07:19 PM

ha ha ha 843 views! You’ve got to laugh

Anyway, right the MK indys footprint -

Wheel base is around 3600mm

Track is suppose to be 1650mm (taken to the edge the wheel arch)

Though for reasons best left unsaid mines about 1930mm.

Looks like what ever body I do plonk on it may need a wee bit of tweaking at the back, ahem

ok so to keep you lot happy (the ones who like their girls anorexic)

here's her after she lost some weight...

wonder if this will displace 'Miserable Caterham owning Bastards' as most viewed?

that would be nice to get rid of it like...

That's HUGE and probably longer than a whole Phoenix. The wheelbase is 2200mm for Striker/Phoenix

that girl looks fine, however technically speaking she appears to be roughly 8 or 10 pounds overweight. And i mean her ideal weight, not a healthy weight which she probably is. BMI is a very harsh guide, i am a bean pole but about 6 pounds over my ideal for the amount of muscle i have. Of course, if i got in shape i would be the same weight (or more) but muscle swapped for fat, but it doesnt work quite like that for ladies, who dont tend to carry muscle so well.

and if you think thats off topic, unlucky, you picked the title!

really! its like as small as a mini!

Never thought I'd hear the day when a locost would be described as huge!

oh well there goes that idea then
