Just bought a battered second hand nose cone that I think came off a Locust (seller thought it was ex Cat**ham). (I thought that word was
automatically **** out - glad I used the preview post option!)
When I placed it on my book build chassis, the chassis seemed too wide (LA, LB, LC, LD). Looking at the book and comparing it to my nose cone it looks
like approx 18" square on each side needs to be removed. Anyone had the same problem, and what was their solution?
The nose cone I got from Lolocost is 24 inches wide - If thats any help
The sides are usually left open on locost nosecones and they taper from front to back. You could cut the sides out and rivet or bond a lip on to seat on the chassis top rails
Sorry to disapoint you but im pretty sure thats not a caterham nose cone.
Sent the wrong doc. Try again.
yours, Pete.

If I cut the sides out as shown in Pete's image it may just fit - there again it may end up in the bin!
I guess I should of studied the book before buying it. I'm not too disappointed though, I managed to get Clamshell wings and rear cycle wings at
the same time that look fine.
Looks like an MK indy nose to me.
Cheers
Chris
