bonnet catches
indykid - 3/5/06 at 10:58 PM

at stoneleigh, looking at the caterhams and westfields on the display stands, i noticed they had really nice small stainless bonnet catches on them.

a quick look on the side showed they were made by protex. get home, google, found the site, and on monday night, ordered.

the order printout sheet said expected despatch date was 10/05/06, which i thought was a bit distant, but probably fair for non account sales. they arrived this morning!

woot, brilliant service, brilliant kit.

thought i'd stick up a photo, and a really big recommendation for them. if you're after post sva bonet catches, you'll not go far wrong, and there's something to suit all tastes.

I reckon if you used this one, maybe on its side then it may be good pre sva too? Wouldn#t be too hard to make up a plate for it to lock into. Flush fit too!!

Which part numbers did you go for?

they need covering for SVA though...

Not so sure about the wooden bonnet and side panels though Tom. Still, weight never has been an issue for you car engined boys has it

PS - You've fitted them wrong way. They need to cover the join between side panel and bonnet, to secure properly
