Though you can use coarser grades dry by hand.

Bucket of warm water wth washing up liquid in it.

Cold water freezes your hands and the washing up liquid helps to stop the paper from clogging.

How's it going Steve - any updated pics?

Just for Pat...

Sprayed Black and smoothed

PS It's true what they say - black *does* show up *all* the imperfections. I sprayed the buck satin black to see how I was going along and some areas were spot-on and others somewhat lacking...hence the filler.

Still hoping to have the mould made this week but think I may run out of time...

when im preping pannels for filling i rub them down and mist them with black so you can see black specs all over the pannel but its not a full covering coat

I then use a block to gently rub it down by hand

anywhere there is black specs left there is a hollow and it needs filling out.
