Another thing, does anyone know any bodywork manufacturers that provide a sporty, race version, bodywork for locost builders??? Rescued attachment p4050002av.jpg

you really don't want the bodywork in the picture. its from a tiger avon. it barely fits an avon chassis so i've heard, i wouldn't even attempt it on a locost chassis.

race bodywork is same as normal stuff as fars 750mc ect goes afaik

where can I get some front arches that fit like that for 13" wheels ? I want the close fit, thin profile look with no visible fixings etc.

Image sports cars.....(F27) do wafer thin jobbies.

Thanks.

Must confess to really liking the Tiger Avon body... however the poor fit and assymetrical designed rear arches and just generally bad bodywork fit would put me off.

Apparently the gaffer is a 'lot' of an ar5e too - his response to advice from builders about the flaws gets an instant rebuff from him... great way to loose business!

Pat, don't suppose you've got any of those low profile front arches have you ? How much were they, can you remember ?

Or anyone else for that matter ?

Cheers,

Mike

Mine weren't low profile - just well fitted Tiger (assymetrical) ones and fitted very close to the wheel - even with the car jacked up it was a right manouver to get the wheel off!

My supports were also only made from two long pieces of 3mm x 25mm flat which kept the arches very close to the wheel.

Um um um....

Them front arches in that top pic look nicely curved over the top (like dax rush ones!) ass opposed to the usual flat topped ones everyone else has, if you know what i mean. Is that true? If so, awesome! i want some - so they're tiger avon arches then? What's assymetric about them - they dont look assymetric in the photo...

Liam

They all have a slight twist and no two are the same - is that assymetrical?

www.imagesportscars.co.uk but nowt there yet apart from Peter's phone number/emaily bits.
Mac#1's are cool ....flat jobs with neat little ears on the side to let the steel work pass up underneath....

Pished is the right word yet again Pat!!!! shame 'cos it looks ok shape wise

Erm, why not buy from Dax?

mike-ktm - 16/9/05 at 03:10 PM

How much from Dax Tim ? Will they fit 13" wheels or are they too big ?

Mike

Can't remember - not ridiculous IIRC.

Asked about faux carbon ones at one of the shows - honestly can't remember - Sorry.

They do use them on the Rush MC which is on 13s
