Holographic test piece
Mark Allanson - 19/1/05 at 08:45 PM

I bought some holographic flakes off ebay which you mix with clearcoat to give spangly effects.

I just needed something small to do a density test on, the only thing handy was the boss's wifes mobile (the only thing handy with a comedy/jape element)

We put down a black basecoat to absorb any non reflected light and used 10g flakes to 100ml 2K clear

The phone was carefully put back in her handbag without he knowing any different - just waiting for the flak tomorrow - " You bunch of b@stards......." Rescued attachment Holophone.jpg

I have some pure electric blue, which will go on with the first clear over the Trophy blue I have chosen, we are just a bit too busy to get it into the paintshop at the moment. DEFINATELY not the polychomatic poly holographic one I have painted the phone in!
