Bonnet Vents
Ben_Copeland - 27/12/12 at 07:35 PM

I've been planning some bonnet vents on my new bonnet.

Having read up a bit, i wanted to get more air in, but also let hot air out. Also thought i'd stick a few vents in the side near the inlet to get a little extra cooling air there.

Any comment welcome, any suggestions before i cut them out?

Thanks

I seem to remember reading that simple slots in a panel doesn't flow as much air as you might expect. The NACA duct is the best way to get air into (or out of) a car.

Yeah i'm aware that "ducted" vent would be better, but i dont really want to go to the hassle of fitting it painting etc.

Hi
We did this on our Indy & it works fine.
70mm holes with mesh behind, both sides

Good luck

Might change it to this to match the side vents....
