Good morning All-
I've just about completed the bodywork for my Locost-type chassis. I'm nowhere near the quality of CANAMSA's work, but it does look
pretty good, if I do say so myself! For years, I've admired the Mallock Clubman cars and wanted one, but didn't have the money to buy a
real one. So, like many of the Locost community, I decided to build one.
The bodywork is made from foam insulation with epoxy resin and fiberglass cloth covering at least two sides of each piece. I used several layers of 6
ounce cloth, topped with a layer or two of 3 ounce cloth for a smooth surface. Still required lots of sanding and filling. I still need to build the
bonnet, which, Mallock-like, will have a large hole in it for the engine to protrude through.

There are a few more in my photo archive in here, if you'd care to see more. The paint is temporary, done with aerosol cans from the hardware
store. I'll do a "real" paint job on it this spring, after I'm through changing things.
Given that Mallocks are quite rare on my side of the Atlantic, I wanted to share the pics with folks that actually know what a Mallock is!

love it
i saw you upload the pics the other day and was awaiting the post to go with it.....
Great car.
I'll say it again - great looking build JD. Its great to see it out in the light and with bodywork. Hopefully it'll spawn more Mallock looking cars on our side of the pond.
Blake, 40Inches, Jossey- Thank you for the kind words, Gentlemen.
Andrew, always good to hear from you, just wasn't expecting it in here!
Work will continue on the car as well as the bodywork. I'll update things as they develop.
Merry Christmas!!!
JD
Well done there JD, looking foward to seeing the final photos
and thanks for the credit
Cheers

Hi Fred-
Thank you Sir! I appreciate your comments. I look forward to seeing the rest of your project as well!
Merry Christmas to you and yours!

Yo!
We went to the local autocross (gymkhana, I believe they're called in the UK) and had better success with the car. Still got a LOT of sorting
out to do with the handling, but the bodywork at least looks finished. A few more pictures, for those interested...
