Hi guys,
Anyone any opinions on the orientation of these bonnet vents and which pic looks best before I cut some holes in the bonnet. I prefer 1 and 4.
Cheers,
Pat

I'd agree with 1 and 4
I'd say 4, closely followed by 1. I think it looks best with the long flat side of the vent against the bonnet hump

Are they gonna be to let warm air out or cool air in? If it's warm air out go with 2 or 3. If it's cool air in go with 1 or 4. Practicallity aside, I like 3.
agreed 1 and 4 look better
I prefer 3...
BTW where did you get them from ??

No contest ...it has to be 4
Another vote for 4
I'd put them on the sides actually.
4
ARGHHHHHHHHH dont do it
Personally i will be looking into venting on the sides of my Avon. (if I ever get that far!)
However with those options i would go for 3. I think they look better 'thick end first'
IMN(ot)V(ery)HO of course
My colleague at work has just had a look and he thinks 1....
He also pointed out that in 4 the vents are very close to the forward edge of the bonnet which could weaken the GRP considerably and you could end up
breaking bits off your bonnet....
i like number 4 . let me know how much difference it makes as mine seems to get very hot.i was thinking of side vents and possibly one in the front of the bulge in the nose cone.i cant do similar to you as i have already weakened my bonnet with cut out for the carbs.

Saw Pats car yesterday and he has gone for either 1 or 4 - 4 I think but can't remember! Sure some of you will have seen it at Donnington today.
