Rear arch spacers
flak monkey - 8/6/10 at 06:13 PM

My new wheels are going to stick out around 6-7mm at the back so I was thinking of making a 15mm thick spacer for each rear arch. I couldnt get high enough offset to keep them under the arch.

Anyone made rear arch spacers for their car? Piccies and methods? Or indeed just ideas

With all the money you've put into that car, just buy some wider arches!

I already have 11" arches on the rear. Are wider ones available?

I could knock up some ply spacers, suitably fillered and painted black to blend in with the car fairly easily I should think.

i think some viento arches will be too big but they do fit over my 275's with a bit of room to spare

Mike Biddle has very wide arches on the back of his RST powered Caterham.

I'm not sure of the construction method, but I think it involved buying a second set of wings, cutting one set down, glassing in a new flange and bolting them together......

why not just cut and shut your existing arches? a weekends work not including paint and they will fit exactly.
