First a happy new year and let's hope that the summer is going to be good for all of us.
But now my question:
Like the title, i currently drive a Tiger Supercat with a bolt on Rollbar and now i was thinking of fitting a welded rollcage with sideimpact bars, i
drive the car on the publicroads.
How many of you drive a roadlegal seven with a full rollcage and what is your opinion on this matter?
And if there are pictures than please so i get a goot idea off the options.
mine's not a 7, but i'd consider a roll bar the absolue minimum. full cage is the way forward (but tbh, i don't like cars with no roof)

Weirdo
The car isn't On the road yet... But I will be driving a road legal MK with a full roll cage welded in!
Got a full cage on my road legal indy, wouldn't be without it.
Depends on the cage too. The mk indy cage is less restrictive to get in an our of than most as the 'roof bars' are fairly far towards the
middle of the car.
- Not a bad compromise and one i nearly went for, but again it just goes to show theres a full sliding scale.
Roadbar (usless)
Braced rollover bar (minimum imo and what i went for)
Petty strut?
Four point cage
Six point cage
Side impact bar (bars?) or not?
etc
I have a full cage on mine:

I prefer the look without BUT if ever I was in a crash it would give that little bit of added protection.
Only down side is that I am 6ft2" and getting in and out can be a little bit 'non-graceful'! LOL

here's mine btw
My cage recently fitted.
yeah ive got a full cage, its great feel a bit safer and looks great, also helps getting in and out and looks great with a kayak on top!!
I have a full roll cage on mine.
It was SVA'd with it in place in 2004.......
It is the same style as leemarkadams.
Fozzie
craig how much was your cage? looks great also where did you get it?
Came from Caged in Somerset and was far toooooo much.
mine,
at moment,
Here's the full cage on our Phoenix. The tubes were mandrel bent to our spec by Martin Keenan. Everything else done by ourselves. All tubes
properly fishtailed etc.
Infills are carbon and padding is FIA spec and is suprisingly hard to the touch.
The top tubes are similar in shape to craigr's above but in the middle we boxed the tubes in, top and bottom, front and back, if you know what I
mean.
Yes, I know that this is a trackday car but we would probably do the same thing if it was a road car.
Geoff.

While we're at it, this is mine, also the work of Martin:
Cant get the roof on any more but i think most would say it makes sense and one good run in the rain with the roof is enough camping for me!
Daniel
Thanks guys for all the info, i will look into it and get a quote for making one for my car, and yes i also like the car without cage better but it will give me a saver feel so will look into it.
