Sorry this is the second post on this subject. I want to beef-up my roll bar. I am thinking of puting a detachable bar from the top down to the
passenger foot well, and a diagonal across the the back but where do I put the rear bracing as behind the MK is just a small tube that holds the fuel
tank and nothing else but I have seen many MK's with rear struts including Hellfires so where do you attach at the bottom end. Pics please if
poss. Ta Barry

Mine go to the bottom of the chassis, and end up on welded in plates besides the petrol tank. No clear pics unfortunately, but i think you can get the
point from this:
rear almost complete
It does make fabricating a decent boot cover a bit tricky though....
O, and sorry for the oversized pic.
The removable bar running forward into the passenger footwell is a petty bar if it helps with your search.
The back stays normally go down to a plate welded in between the round tubes at the bottom of the chassis and the sloping back stays.

You probably need the mounting plates which I don't think are fitted as standard.
Don't have a specific picture but you can see half of the plate in the bottom right hand corner here

On a MAC1 they use a couple of wishbone bushes at the rear, so you could easily do that yourself, even bolt them on if you wanted.
I don't have a pic of them with the roll bar going to them but here they are anyway!
Wishbone bushes is genius!

Thanks guys, Barry (LBMEFM)
I think the wishbone bushes idea is no longer FIA / MSA compliant. Therefore if you want to race you need to check up on this.
