will this fit
the moa - 4/2/04 at 10:47 PM

Just trying to fit my DAX RUSH nosecone and new i had to do soime modifying to make it fir but im not sure its gonna work.

Theres a 20mm gap either side to make it fit flush with the chassis. The idea was to stretch it over the lugs on the Leugo chassis.

Will it stretch ?
Or is it just gonna crack
Anyone got any ideas . Rescued attachment P2040025.JPG

I had a similar thing with my westfield one, try warming it with a heat gun, grit your teeth and give it a go! Mine was fine

cut the nose cone down the middle and widen it, wont take long.

hi,
i think thats what we might have to do, thanks for the idea.
spoke to luego and they also recommend to cut it.

You could try cutting some V's from the flange and that might allow it more freedom to bend to shape.

Just bought a westfield bonnet from terry knigtingale whos got lots of westfield stuff going cheap have a look yourself

http://www.terrynightingale.co.uk/parts%20sale.html#anchor106719

and when offering it up into position we have had another idea for the nose cone which we mulling over at the minute, instead of cutting it in half we could bolt it to the chassis lugs on the outside and then build up the nosecone to make a bulge to cover the chassis rail.

not to sure how easy this would be though !

I am a bit confused at the minute so to start with are you referring to my question about stretching it so that it fits over the lugs/brackets or about adding to the nose cone and shaping it so that it has a lip at the bottom to cover my chassis rails ?
