Just looking into the cost of a DIY vinly car wrap. None of my local sign vinly suppliers are confident their vinly is suitable for applying over a
car body.
Does anyone know of an online company that supply the stuff suitable for a car?
Not online as such, but not too far away, also not sure if he will do what you need but might be able to help.
He does all of the company work vans though so maybe worth a try?

Not trying to put you off, however,
I know the proper stuff for doing compound curves is mega expensive, and there are loads of diffferent types for different applications.
My mate does it, and sometimes uses my unit on a Saturday to do big vans.
Unless you've done it before, i would be wary about spending a lot on vinyl, as it looks a bitch to do, even for the pro's.
I did the sides on my ST, which was fairly easy, as there flat, but even then its awkward to do in one piece without getting it stuck to itself, or
picking up dirt etc.

I once watched a place round here do one on half the side of a bt van. They gimped it twice and the third time got it on but looked a right
barsteward and theyr supposed professionals.
Have u seen any pertek vans with the whole van as a graphic, looks air brushed but theyr vinyl. and the new AA T5 vans. They silver vans with yellow
vinyl covering to make them easier to sell on. Looks a right bitch to do!

As above really, in the sign trade for 5 years now and I won't do any wraps, not worth the bother. Very, very tricky
Okay then, thats me convinced not to bother then! I watched a guy wrapping a car at MPH this year, but like so many things - If your an expert then
you can make it look easy.
Thanks for the advice all.
KPMF sell it,
i use their vinyl for most of my stuff and its pretty good

As you are in Cumbria it would be worth phoning Stobarts to see who does their fleet of trucks and where at- plenty of expertise there.
Tinkler was on the TV recntly and he said it cost around £900 per truck but that easily came back in solid resale values.
Worth a call,

Check on Fleabay. That's where I get mine. Useless for complex corners, but good for flattish stuff. Use a heat gun and a LOT of soapy water.
Holy thread resurrection...
I've been looking into this to do the side panels and scuttle of mine and found
this
Looks like it will be ~£30 to do sides and scuttle
ive just had my side panels vinyl covered
well pleased with the result
