When I was working nights we used to get one in the factory, he was an old one and came up to you for food quite like a pet. I like to think we kept
him going for a couple of extra years.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

That is fantastic. Makes the woodpecker we had in garden last weekend look a bit common.
Im renting a house near a river at the mo. Regularly see a heron doing a spot of fishing - also great to watch.
I love the countryside and wildlife.

How cool is that?
We hear them at night but have yet to see one.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

They shoot those things 'round here! With bloody great shotguns.!
They worry the sheep at night, much more than the local New Zealanders who live here! ![](/images//smilies/bigsmile.gif)

am i missing something? Its a fox isnt it? They're everywhere?! I was amazed when i saw an owl on my neighbours chimney, and when 2 deer ran
across the road infront of me, but foxes are well common round here! Seen 4 dead badger a few weeks back, not seen them before or since.

As I said, I haven't seen a fox here, but an old dear lives next door. There's loads of them here.
Tell them about the bent treacle edges!
