I think that I would have parked on the very edge of the forecourt, not right next to the pumps!

If you read further down he managed to push the burning car and trailer back 20' to get it to that position and had to retrieve a sum of money
in a bag from the car!!!
Nightmare.
I bet it was an interesting call to the dealer where the car was on loan from
