Knee replacement gone wrong - GRAPHIC PICTURE

I know how some of you guys on here like a good graphic medical picture, this was the state of my father-in-laws knee on Saturday after he burst the wound on his knee replacement he had done 2 weeks before.

He's now got a new one in!

KNEE

Same thing happened to my late wife's elbow twenty years ago, after the knob at the hospital took the stitches out too early.
Scary at the time - for me, she thought it was funny.

Yes it did really hurt, he was crying out for pain meds for about 45 minutes when he arrived back at hospital from the after care rest centre, then they gave him liquid morphine as he soon relaxed!!

I have to stay the staff at Worthing hospital where he has been moved to since this happened have to a man and a woman been amazing - truly superb care with expert and caring staff, from the hca's, nurses, doctors right up the specialist who drove himself miles Saturday afternoon to another hospital to pick up the right gear to redo the knee replacement at 2am the next morning!
