Sadly, very appropriate for motorcyclists, or at least the unlucky guy on the A395 last year that ended his life hitting one of these ridiculous items of road furniture.

They don't have to be there, they don't have to be made of concrete (surely).

If they were metal, they'd all be safely stolen by now.....
