have a close friend who used to trade in the london stock exchange (hope I got the name right)
apparently the 3 martini lunch was quite common, the 6 martini lunch even more so.

Back in the 80's there were apparently traders making money off the 'cocaine' blips introduced by other less cautious traders
who'd had a little too much nose candy and were getting a even more overconfident than usual.
