Any tips for Facebook?
A few of my mates, sister & brother are on facebook & keep telling me I should join up & I'm missing out.
The privacy & identity theft does make me hesitate though, any tips onwhat I should & shouldnt do when signing up?
I'm still pretty green with computers.

These two things should keep you safe:
Change your privacy settings so that only your friends can see your information.
Only be 'friends' with people who really are your friends.

don't put anything on your profile you wouldn't tell to a random person on the street.
that along with the above and you should be ok.
employers use facebook, myspace and such like to get a head start on you when you apply for jobs too, so make sure you set it so that only friends can
see your profile as matt said.
