Don't forget, these are small, those are far away.

The nut that holds the fan on is left hand thread.

The engine pic is blatently a photoshop image. Either that or the engine is about 4 inches deep/ in the roof of the car/ etc etc.
The lines down the bottom right side of the pic give it away mainly as theres no natural defused light.

I remember hearing that urban myth about pygmies in a jungle somewhere who had no sense of perspective because they never ever saw anything further away than a metre or two, but I didn't realise they were also to be found in the New Forest

Lighting is fine, actually pretty good for what was probably a cheap camera and a winter afternoon's sun
