A few years ago I went to the Lavenham Rare Breeds show in Suffolk - amongst many amazing cars, there was a white 300SEL Gull-wing Mercedes - plus one of the open-top versions alongside. The same man owned both...

BTW - the Lavenham show is an amazing place to see many rare cars - usually happens on the August Bank Holiday, or thereabouts.

Mate of mine used to race one back in the day, mainly at Aintree. He sold it for £3K when he stopped racing. The same car sold some years later for £110,000. Talk about gutted.
