Good customer service (not car related)

Eldest son threw a strop and managed to slam the kitchen bin lid down so hard he broke the magnetic catch.

Went to the customer service page on the company website and asked if the part was available (they don't sell that model anymore) using the web contact form. Got an email reply the next day saying "sorry it had broken and they'd put one in the post". No questions about when I'd bought it, had I got the original receipt etc. Got the catch (the full assembly) 2 days later and fitted it in 30seconds. I was quite prepared to pay a couple of quid for it since it was hardly fair wear and tear and I doubt I could find any proof of purchase anyway.

So a very pleased customer of "simple human" top customer service.
