make sure the silencer won't whack the ground if it noses over as I damaged my os 120 that way on the spitfire

mustangs are nice to fly. Did you know 'Just Engines' sell spark ignition systems to convert the glow engines to petrol? I'm converting my Moki 135 to run on it for the Albatros, will be a dam sight cheaper to run on than £20 a gallon

linky to ignition system

Very neat Mr Whippy, but doesn't the extra weight of the CDI and batteries more than offset any gains from running with spark ignition?

The issue of a models weight disappeared about 20 years ago, these days, engines are so powerful it’s totally irrelevant. Most of my models will fly vertical and some even carry large camcorders that have little noticeable effect on the performance. What is a sod is going through a gallon a day on my big planes when the glow fuel costs £20 a gallon
