Cancer Research, Race for Life, Silverstone

I'm sure all of us have been touched by the dreaded C word at some point, as either a "victim" or close to somebody who's been a "victim".

About 3 years ago a close collegues Mother had her first treatment and this was closely followed by my own Mother having chemo and radio after her operation.

Then last year a different collegues wife was affected. There's seemingly no end.

So, my life's been touched and plenty of others around me.

One of my ex collegues and a really great girl is embarking on a Race for Life next month. If you've not heard of it and would like more info then please checkout their website http://www.raceforlife.org

Given the local one to me, and where Becky is running, is Silverstone (which has a connection to cars/locosts and hence locostbuilders) I thought I'd just post a link to her donations page in case anybody wanted to sponser her in her efforts.

The minimum donation amount is £2 and even this can help Cancer Research with their war against Cancer.

I'm not sure of the logistics/arrangements for the day, but onlookers/support is welcomed and clearly those with a passion for motorsport may welcome an excuse to visit the track or Grand Prix Racewear who have a nice shop there.

Apologies for the serious post but its a topic close to my heart.

Thanks
Chris
