I've done that (apparently, don't remember it). Dad was painting the lounge, went out for a cup of tea and apparently came back to find i'd decided to 'help' by painting the sofa

Then he had to give it a second coat a week or two later, the emulsion had all dried and flaked off by the time the insurance assesor was due to come over

when I was little I repainted the silver family car with green fence paint and a big brush, including the glass! class

Ive had a similar experience whilst my eldest was experimenting with Sudocrem. Its only cream i hear you all say......... i can tell you it is an absolute nightmare to clean up. It just doesnt wash off.
