Top fuel cars do 0-60 in just over half a second if i remember rightly.

I was watching the Top Fuel guys in the states on FiveUS yesterday and they were doing the quarter in 4.5 seconds and crossing the line at 330mph. Never realised they were that insanely quick!

Nice bloke Andy, had a good natter with him at York 3yrs ago at the first 0-60 challenge. Goes without saying he won . Only managed about 3 secs though, due to the poor surface, he was still spinning the wheels at the 1/8th mile despite only tickling the gas. Think he 'only' had about 1800hp back then, so must have chucked some more cash at it since.

I went to see them at Pod for the european finals. The fastest run that weekend was 4.7 secs and 318mph IIRC.
