Could be a good project for someone.

Not sure I'd highlight the being banned from driving bit whilst trying to sell the car though.

Think I'll go take a look and take my macnic along to chuck the noice from the bottem.......

For the cost of a new engine and 99p it's a bargain (though some muppet will no doubt bid it up)

Ben_Copeland - 8/3/12 at 08:57 PM

its got a reserve on it anyway, so 99p isnt going to win it.

If it had just been serviced (500 miles ago), why did it not have any oil in it?

Oil leak i'm guessing, but thats quite a lot of oil to leak out!

Thats brilliant.laughing aloud which is unusual for me

Well the "ORIGINAL BMW LATHER WALET" might be useful when washing in the shower.

so if this part right ( it had a new timing chain and full service only 500 miles ago ) where did all the oil go then

More like where did the mechanic go who I'd be asking why the engine failed after he'd replaced the timing chain (and presumably serviced it). Did he forget to refill the oil, leave the sump plug out, not tighten the filter etc.
