Here is a puzzle to work out!!
sonic - 20/1/11 at 08:41 PM

This year we will experiance 4 special dates 1/1/11 1/11/11 11/1/11 and the 11/11/11 now figure this out!

Take the last 2 digits of the year you were born plus the age you will be this year and this will equal 111.

Very strange

What if I was born in 2000 or after?

sonic - 20/1/11 at 09:00 PM

It would still be 11

JoelP - 20/1/11 at 09:02 PM

It totals 111 because that is how many years have passed since 1900, which is when most of our birth dates are counted from.

I was born 79 years after 1900, add the 32 years that have passed since then... and as youd expect, its 111.

Yeah - not 111 as it's 'supposed' to be

All your really doing is calculating the current year:

Year of birth + age = current year

i.e. 11 if we disregard the centuries. The extra hundred comes from the change from 19 to 20 between most of our birth centuries and the current century, hence you only get 11 for a date of birth 2000 or after.

This would 'work' every year. If we did it last year we'd all get 110, year before 109 etc etc.
