OT: Washing machine buttons!
Mr G - 14/10/10 at 07:05 PM

Not worthy of being displayed in the frontpage listings but not really a madhouse item I know.

What orientation would you say applies to the buttons on the washing machine below? I know there is a sybol of an on/off setting but is that just for the on/off button?

Are the other buttons 'in' to select them? When they are out you can see blue on the sides of them.

Asking this question as some of the buttons don't seem to do what they are supposed to do in the instance of out is 'on'

Wanted to make sure I was reading it right (losing my marbles)

Cheers

G

I'm pretty sure that legend applies to all of the buttons, i.e. if you can see the blue part of the button then that feature is enabled.

Yup that's what I thought Mike, thought it best to get a second opinion

Couldn't make much sense of what you said so I showed swmbo, who then went to explain both ways... Our washing machine any buttons are pressed in when on, however being a man (and unable to give a stuff about "rinse hold" and the like" I just stick powder in and switch it on..

Well I need to show some interest if I'm going to get these caliper carriers and alternator bracket sparkling clean by tonight!

I'm sure it's as Mike says, but you should be able to download an instruction manual here.

Already got the manual but all it says is
quote:
select any of the function buttons required and then press the on/off button
