Ignore Flak Monkey - the links he's posted are just HMRCs attempt to dissuade people from claiming the refunds they are entitled to. Just go right ahead and click the link.

Well they sent me a letter, a real one via the postman.

My bank keeps sending me emails telling me that my account is going to be closed, mind you all the banks tell me this even the ones I never ever had an account with.

Furthermore why do the UK tax office have to specify GBP, instead of sticking the usual £ at the front?

Id go to your local tax office and submit the forms there if you think your owed anything.
