So am getting 2 kittens/cats and will be leaving them outside during the day but want them to be able to go in the garage if need be during the day for food and warmth. Also want to make sure other cats dont go in and make themselves at home.

Any got one of these electronic catflaps? And how good are they? Any decent ones that arent over £100?!

Haven't got one, I was always bothered about the cat being locked out when the magnetic collar vanishes (which happened a lot with our cats)

Leave them inside and get them a litter tray, they will be safer and not crapping in anyone else's garden or eating the dickie birds. If you had a dog or a budgie you wouldn't leave it out all day.

Cats are so bloody (literally) territorial there's no way any other cats will also move into the garage. Put some cardboard boxes in the garage with a hole in the bottom and some blankets inside as that all cats need to stay warm. Their outdoor hunting animals and prefer it to being cooped up inside.
