Comet seen
Slater - 27/2/09 at 08:27 PM

I can see the comet, very low down in western sky just above the moon. It's very bright indeed.

Last one I remember seeing was about 12 years ago. Was is Haleys of the beebop one?
Wow, you won't get many chances to see a comet in a lifetime, so pop out and see it for yourselves.

Hi

Saw it too last night, could even make out the cresent shape through my spotting scope. A quick check on the interweb revealed it was Venus at the most stunning it will be this year.

Will it still be visible tonight??? Might take SWMBO for a romantic walk

Lulin comet will barely be visible to the naked eye and should be in the south east. Venus looks spectacular at the moment.

Bit here about it.

Haven't noticed a comet but I'm sure that’s Jupiter blazing in the sky once its dark as Venus sets very soon after the sun goes down and can only be seen a couple of hours after, before it too goes below the horizon.
