A bit like Newark's static engine display

Just one question - why?

I do smile when I pass that lot - usually there's some guy sitting next to his engine, ready to answer questions... and the people just walk on
by.
I suppose it is fascinating to restore one of these, and they do make a distinctive noise. Some of the old technology is interesting, e.g. the
'hit-and-miss' engine, and the old single-cyclinder narrow boat engines make a great noise.
... but, in the end, I just can't get that excited - I prefer the noise of an engine running at 6000+ rpm (and wait for the BEC folk to say
"...at 10000+ rpm!".

I think 30 seconds would have been plenty.

I like it. I imagine when you strip it down and look at how it works you kinda think "that's simple, why didn't I think of it?"

Whats the difference between 30 seconds and 5 seconds - isn't it just more of the same?

Amazing. Did you see the pushrods turning?
