Idiot question about windows/IE
C10CoryM - 8/1/09 at 10:21 PM

Hey guys.
Probably a stupid question but one I have never figured out in 10+yrs of using Internet-explorer.

How do you set the size of the window when you open a new window?

For example, if I Right-click on a link and select "open in new window" (or use my middle button), the link will open up in a window that is about 1/2 screen. There must be a way to set this as it changes sometimes. It used to be about 3/4 screen etc.

Thanks.
Cory

First of all, ditch IE. Use Mozilla or equivalent.

Put your arrow at the bottom right hand corner of the new window and drag it as far as you want.

ps. check my post about shipping from the UK to Canada. It isn't worth it right now because the cost has gone through the roof.

I know how to resize windows. What I am after is how to make them open at a specific size.

IE and Firefox both open new windows at the same position and size as the last one you closed when you last closed all it's windows). I.e. when you completely exit all IE windows, the last one you close will be remembered and used as the default until you next close all it's windows.

Perfect. Thanks Matt.
Also just noticed there is a sub-forum for PC questions. Oops.
