Christmas ? Bah............humbug

David Jenkins - 17/11/08 at 10:09 PM

I don't acknowledge Christmas until 1st December...

martyn_16v - 17/11/08 at 10:12 PM

You should try working in a christmas grotto. Every year, come the first weekend of November it starts again, and it's like groundhog day for the next two months. Words just can't express how much I despise christmas

I just try and not acknowledge it at all
I bloody hate it. I was thinking why the other day and I think a major thing for me is the massive anti climax with sh1t weather, darkness and no bank holidays.

iank - 18/11/08 at 12:16 AM

> no bank holidays

Ummm, December 25th and December 26th are both bank holidays (not that you'd know it from the number of shops that open).

The thing that irritates me most is all the present's you've bought being half the price the day afterwards in the sales.

mistergrumpy - 18/11/08 at 10:52 AM

Umm. yes. I did forget but I meant the period after Christmas and before Summer having no Bank holidays. It's a horrible time and Christmas to me is just a lead up to that.
And I don't like people being all la di da and happy when I'm not. Antagonising ba5tard5 Bahh.

Last year I gave my wife a wad of money and told her to have fun in the sales... (with her agreement, I should add!)

I did give her a few small presents as well, for Christmas's sake.
