word of the day
omega0684 - 9/11/08 at 01:42 AM

just watching the original superman (1978) and at the start of the film when Durel +wifey puts Kalel (superman) in the crystal spaceship he uses the word 'BEQUEATH'

his words 'all that i am, all that i have, i bequeath you my son'

never heard that word before, though this might be an oppotunity to explore some other wierd and wonderful words that us common folk use on a regular basis.............

Pre-emptive. Always confuses a few people that does.

I use rather too many to be honest, but how about:

Epiphany in it's non-religious meaning.

I did once use Floccinaucinihilipilification in a meeting, but it loses it's impact if you then have to explain to everyone present what the hell you're saying.

I really like the joke 'is it solipsistic in here or is it just me', but explaining it to people rapidly gets boring (and makes me look like even more of a geek than usual)
