MS Internet Explorer up and running in linux

I mentioned this could be done in another thread -- here is a screen shot of IE6 up and running on the latest version of Mint Linux. Took about 15 minutes to get it installed up and running.

A very few internet sites created with Microsoft software will only support IE --- By "not supporting" I don't mean they won't display properly formated pages but that they won't let any other browser in !

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/59

now try it again after installing this add on (direct from the mozilla add on site) and switching how your browser identifies itself.

User agent won't help with sites that just don't render properly. IE tab is a really useful add-on if you're using Firefox on a windows machine, not available for linux though.
