Best IT buy I have made this year.
One of the things that annoys me about 5 in 1 card readers is the invariably allocate drive letters to drives that don't have memory cards in them, this can cause Windows to hang, while Linux systems tend to have problems seeing and mounting 5 (or more) in one card readers.

On eBuyer I found a nice bit of kit a Veho VSD-001SD SD to USB adaptor --- it has only one slot for SD cards so no more ghost drives.
I just plug it in and it works perfectly on any of my PCs.

Ditto - got same from ebay, dirt cheap plus big postage, so about the same. With a cheap sd card it also becomes a flash drive/memory stick.

me too i hsve similar for a few memory card types

My housemate has an SD card that folds in the middle to reveal a bit to stick in a USB slot. Very nifty!
