Cutting Carbon Fibre Dash
Having run out of fuel one time too many am about to fit a fuel guage. Sender installed just need to cut a hole for the guage. Think it is a Triton
Carbon fibre dash.
Not sure whether to just go for it with a hole cutter or to chain drill and cut and file with a dremell.
Any advice.

I could well be wrong, but I thought you could cut it ok with a hole saw and then file it, but a friend of mine used to make CF sculling boats and
said to make sure you wear gloves and a mask cos it's nasty stuff.
Like i said though - I could be wrong...

Should be ok with a hole cutter just take it slowly and yes gloves, mask and goggles are a must as if you get it in your body it will not be rejected
like a splinter as it is carbon.

Cutting Carbon
Should be no problem cutting with a hole saw. Only thing is it does tend to blunt tools quickly. It's probably pretty thin and therefore
won't be too much of an issue.
Remember to tape up the surface and let the cutter do the work.
Mask for the dust.

just finished mine, i would like to add that taking it slow also helps, for some reason The CF that i was using tended to melt its clear coating if it
got too hot.
Sorry about my spelling, im an engineer and only work in numbers.

i used hole saw then filed to suit
