DIY Exhaust manifold
Hi,
I decided to build my own exhaust manifold for my Blade engine using stianless stell tubing. Any ideas ho wI shoudl tackle the 'Y'
going from 4 to 2 to 1? Any skecthes on how I shoudl cut the tubes to make them match together?

I made mine, just halved the metal and added a triangle to infill.
The infill was just a bit more tube bashed flat !

Probably worth watching a few episodes of American chopper. They quite regularly show fabrication of zorts. On top of that they often do some more
obscure shaped tanks which of course have to be leak proof.

Don't you have ChrisG's old manifold? If so, you could use the merge collectors from there. Honestly, the exhaust is one place where
I'd buy, rather than build.
Still, another approach is to use a spring system and slip joints to hold the merge collectors to the exhaust pipes. ChrisG (again) has pics of this
system. The nice thing about these is that it allows some flex in the system. It also means installation and fabrication is much easier
because--assuming you'd buy the collectors--you don't have to TIG into those tight places.

Thanks mate your photos gave me a very good idea and please do keep showing off!!!
Chris: The exhaust I got is a 4 in 1 and I woudl like to have a 4 in 2 in 1 for better road use. The other thing is that it hits my diagonal memeber
and so I decide dto go for it!! I have also ran out of cash

Here's a diy collector, 2 2" pipes into 1 2.5" pipe.
made using pairs of 30 deg bends, cut appropriately then linished to final shape:
