Cleaning my very dusty garage

Basically, my gagare looks like some-one has emptied a huge pile of ash into it (body filler dust)

What's the best way of getting it clean again? Would Vacuum a be sacrificial or would it survive??

ASDA sell a VERY cheap vacuum cleaner, I bought one to suck up some spiders that were troubling me.

It was about £15. I dumped it when I was finished. I am not joking, I hate spiders.

They'll be back Use the one out of the house then empty it and save the £15. Get a good mask and a white boiler suit and it shouldn't show up too much. You'll get it all eventually, I'm sure.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Mmmmmmmmmm what about a vax where you use water to keep the dust down and then empty the sludge into the bin?

I'd finish the sanding first, looks like you've only just started, and get a modern sander with a dust bag on it. They are not exactly dear to buy and catch most of the crap.
Vacuum cleaner will handle the dust, I've got an old one in my garage to keep it clean, puts up with all sorts of abuse.

I had a garage in a similar state a few years back. I removed the gear and washed down the inside with a hose and a stiff brush.

Take equipment outside and rinse down what you can. Beg a compressor and blast the dust off difficult to reach stuff.

It's lots of prep, but it worked well.

Cheers,

Neil.

Your sort make me sick
