New Toy --- Owon SDS7102v Osciloscope.
I used my Xmas Amazon vouchers to buy a new toy -- a proper oscilloscope an Owon SDS7102v with the optional internal battery..
It can connect to a PC by USB or LAN or save to a USB card it also has a VGA monitor output.
It has a deep memory which makes good for capturing ignition and injector waveforms.

This is the first capture I tried the HF filter makes for nice noise free traces.

In the distant past I had one on my work desk peering into chips looking for static damage... Very handy at work but what use at home??

Back in the day I used an oscilloscope chasing signals around radar cabinets when I was in Air Force. I enjoyed it, chasing pulses in the micro range.
It's all in the setting up of the scope for whatever particular frequency/voltage your looking for. GIGO.

I spent a lot of money on booze, birds and fast cars. The rest I just squandered.
