Die Grinder 240v

Hi All

For those of you who own a compressor with enough oomph to drive windy tools, read no more.

Me, I'm fed up with 30 seconds grinding, then a two minute wait for the pressure to build up again,
so I've treated myself to a late Chrissy prezzy.

What a wonderful place, the land of eBay.

Got one too, just a Sparky but it was about £40 & 800w great piece of kit, wouldnt be without it now.
The problem is my compressor's too big, I cant take it with me to a job but a 240v supply is pretty common these days.

Got a 110v one from ebay for peanuts a couple of years ago . Already had the transformer and nobody was bidding on it.

V. Nice. Is that a polishing mop I see in the background? A lot of sources will say to use jewellers rouge to polish metal but I found the cheaper chrome polish works just as well.

Looks like an excellent piece of kit. Should help with polishing all that bodywork! Did you get that big polisher finished in the end?

i prefer the ones with the snout on , to do cylinder heads .

What you do is this.

Go through all the kitchen cupboards and throw out all the electrical gizmo's that never get used.

Sandwich toaster, food processor, bread maker, slow cooker, the list is endless.

Replace with grinders, welders, drills, etc. Far more useful.

I have one of these:




as volvorsport says, the nose makes porting work easier.

Great tools one and all though, with an expanding drum and sanding drums you can end profile tubing very fast and as accurately as with a file, which isn't easy with an angle grinder

The longer extended ones are much nicer to use, enables you to get a good grip, and direct the end where you want it.
