Wanted - Slide Hammer to borrow
RoadkillUK - 3/7/06 at 04:42 PM

Anyone local to me (Bradford) got a slide hammer I may be able to borrow to get these blinkin' half shafts out?

I've tried the 'bolts' method and my own slide hammer but I think it needs some real persuasion.

If not, I'll have to fork out £47.00 at machine mart.

Cheers, Lee

Hi Lee,

I think I have one somewhere with a Ford fitting. I am in Devon and it may well be that someone nearer to you will be more convenient. Assuming I can find it, you are welcome to borrow it for the cost of the Postage.

Regards

John

Ello

Do you have an old steel rim? put in on in side out (so it sticks out ) bolt it up and hit it, works well used to do it when i was stock car racing

Nice, btw I think screwfix sell a cheaper version.

I am loving the go faster stripes on the wheel arch!

I cropped the photo to miss the worst bit. It's a 'used' 7

As for the price, I had all the bits in the cellar.

Yeah, but I "think" it's a lightweight body-panel type puller.

Errr, they're my contribution, they're actually "go-slower" stripes (especially in a multi-story with big concrete pillars)... ahem...
