My mate delivered this to me the other day.

It's 3 phase, 1.5hp. And it was free. He's buying some Carlos-Fandango CNC machining centre so this was surplus.

When I get some time I'll rig it up and learn something useful. It's a Chinese one, but it looks OK and it worked fine in his business for the last few years.

Yup. Probably going to have to wait until my invoices have been paid. They new tax year would be convienient

Keep an eye on ebay - I've seen converters on there occasionally.
Just make sure that its power rating matches your motor.

The motor is in a fairly roomy area in the back - you might be able to put a single-phase motor in there.

Nice toy though!
