Ladies and Gents I'mm looking for a recommendations for waterjet cutting services for the following set of plates.
I'm in south west wales and already have tried some localish vendors. The material is 5mm mild steel which I can supply if it makes difference to the price.
For reference the holes are 12mm.

Anyone have any idea how much this is likely to cost as I'm still waiting to hear back from the folks I've contacted already.

No experience with water jet cutting. The sheet metal people we use at work use the laser process. Might be another option for you to investigate - many will work from a CAD drawing, but many will also have a minimum charge (think setup fee).

I got 4 plates cut (Hub spacers) by a chap on here (andyw7de) and it was £28 for 2x 10mm and 2x 20mm, in ally, that he supplied. Was 6 years ago so no idea if prices have changed or if he is still doing it.

They are local to me, stock alot of materials and were v.competitive on price the last time i used them.
If you use their contact form you can attach the .dxf drawing and they will price up the material of your choice.
The last things i had done were in 6mm 6082 t6 aluminium and was £70ish including materials, approx sizes 1x 150x300mm, 1x 80x300mm, 3x 60x150mm.

If it helps, laser or plasma will also happily cut those shapes, so you may be able to find a cheaper supplier.

At 5mm plasma will give a pretty good cut, the cuts in the pic below were done with a 45A Hypertherm (CNC) on 5 and 8mm steel:

I used a company down in Cornwall that did laser cutting, they were pretty go and do steel and aluminium, just send them a Dxf/dwg and they will get back with a quite. The manifold plates and plates for engine mounts were cheap enough for it not be worth getting the jigsaw and drill out.

They came back with £60 (£72 with VAT) for the parts which I am more than happy with.

Bit late but I've used northwestwaterjet.co.uk for a big crankshaft tool - came in at a good price and worked from CAD no problem. Good folks to deal with.

My local machine cost £2 a Minute to cut, you can up the cut speed to make it cheaper but quality of the cut reduces with speed.

only really an issue with heavier material.
