Some of us have had fouled spark plugs and know that almost nothing will make them recover, well during getting my 250 2 stroke Suzuki to run right I fouled a few plugs. They were firing anywhere but accross the electrode. So I had a thought and tried spraying Cillit Bang Grime and Lime into them while they were inverted and leaving them for an hour or so re squirting them every now and then. Sprayed them with brake cleaner and a quick wizz on the wire wheel and all the ones I did recovered and work fine now.
Have I discovered something?

I'd be worried that the caustic chemical might effect the ceramic insulator causing it to fail, resulting in bits of the plug electrodes falling into the engine...

Are ceramics not used to contain nasty chemicals usually?

Blow lamp always works for me. Has Barry Scott got a sideline reselling old spark plugs?

Don't know about cilit bang on the plugs, but the pics in your archive of the GT250, have just spurred me on to get on with my T350....

Its been blasted and powdercoated, and all new chrome since this, but still in bits.
